Description

Antibiotic for the treatment of respiratory infections caused by Pasteurella multocida, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Streptococcus suis in pigs, as well as respiratory infections caused by Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Histophilus somni; acute interdigital necrobacillosis caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum and Porphyromonas asaccharolytica and acute postpartum metritis caused by Escherichia coli, Trueperella pyogenes and Fusobacterium necrophorum in cattle.

INDICATIONS

Infections associated with bacteria sensitive to ceftiofur.
Pigs: Treatment of respiratory bacterial diseases associated with Pasteurella multocida, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Streptococcus suis.
Cattle: Treatment of respiratory bacterial diseases associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Histophilus somni. Treatment of acute interdigital necrobacillosis (panaritium, foot rot), associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum and Porphyromonas asaccharolytica. Treatment of bacterial components of acute postpartum (puerperal) metritis within 10 days after childbirth associated with Escherichia coli, Trueperella pyogenes and Fusobacterium necrophorum, where treatment with another antimicrobial has failed.

Withdrawal periods

Pigs (meat and offal): 5 days.
Cattle (meat and offal): 6 days; (milk): zero days.
